Author Instructions
Welcome to Erudexa Publishing. These author instructions tell you exactly how to prepare and submit manuscripts for all journals under the Erudexa imprint. They cover article types, manuscript formatting, submission steps, declarations and metadata we require, and what happens after acceptance (APC, DOI, archiving). Follow this single, publisher-level set of rules so your submission proceeds smoothly and is indexer-ready.

- Reporting guidelines: Use relevant checklists (e.g., CONSORT, PRISMA, STROBE, ARRIVE) and upload completed checklists with submission.
- Plagiarism & originality: Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. All submissions are screened with industry-standard plagiarism detection tools.
- Data availability: Include a Data Availability Statement. Where possible deposit datasets in recognized repositories; provide accession numbers or persistent links. (We archive copies via Zenodo, Internet Archive, SSRN as publisher-level preservation).
- Manuscript structure & formatting
Use clear, professional language; manuscripts should be in English (British or American consistently).
General layout (recommended):
- Title page : Title, full author names, affiliations, ORCIDs, corresponding author contact (email + postal address).
- Abstract (max 250 words) — structured for original research (Background; Methods; Results; Conclusion) or unstructured for reviews/editorials.
- Keywords (3–8) — not phrases; use discipline-appropriate terms.
- Main text (Introduction; Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusion).
- Acknowledgements (funding, contributions not meeting authorship).
- Author contributions (use CRediT roles: Conceptualization; Data curation; Formal analysis; Funding acquisition; Investigation; Methodology; Project administration; Resources; Software; Supervision; Validation; Visualization; Writing — original draft; Writing — review & editing).
- Declarations: Conflicts of interest; Funding statement; Ethics approval; Consent to publish; Data availability.
- References (APA 7th).
- Figure captions and table captions (each in the manuscript file).
- Supplementary files (if any), clearly labelled.
File and style rules:
- Submit the main manuscript as an editable .docx (no password).
- Use 12-point readable font, 1.15–1.5 line spacing, and page numbers.
- Number sections and sub-sections. Use simple, standard section headings.
- Figures: supply high-resolution originals (minimum 300 dpi).
- Preferred formats: PNG, JPEG. Avoid embedding low-resolution images only in the Word file.
- Tables: supply in editable format (Word table or Excel). Avoid embedding tables as images.
- File naming: JournalShortName_FirstAuthorSurname_shorttitle_v1.docx (e.g., ERU_JSmith_climateimpact_v1.docx).
- Submission process (step-by-step)
- Check this page and the specific journal card for any discipline-specific notes.
- Prepare required files: title page, manuscript, figures, tables, supplementary files, reporting checklists, ethics approvals, and a cover letter.
- Metadata: include author names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCIDs, abstract, keywords, funding, and relevant subject classification. Provide metadata in the submission form or in a separate metadata.txt file. (See machine-readable metadata section below.)
- Submit: Use the journal’s submission portal (link on the journal card). If the portal is not yet active, email the complete package to: editorial@erudexapublishing.com with subject: [Journal name] — Submission — Manuscript title — First author.
- Acknowledgement: You will receive an acknowledgement within 72 hours with a manuscript ID.
- Preliminary checks: Editorial office performs format, scope, ethical-check and plagiarism screening; you may be asked for revisions before peer review.
- Peer review: After passing checks, the manuscript moves to peer review (see Peer Review summary below).
- Decision & revision: If accepted after peer review, you will be asked to pay the APC (or apply for waiver) before final publication. Upon payment and final proof approval, we mint a DOI via Zenodo and deposit copies to archiving platforms.
- Peer review — summary for authors
Erudexa uses transparent, indexer-friendly peer-review workflows:
- Initial editorial check — scope, formatting, ethics, plagiarism.
- Peer review model: Most journals will operate double-blind peer review where feasible. If double-blind is not possible, single-blind will be used; the specific model is displayed on each journal’s card.
- Reviewers: Independent experts; normally two reviewers for research articles.
- Decision outcomes: Accept, Minor revision, Major revision, Reject.
- Timelines: Acknowledgement within 72 hours; initial decision target 2–4 weeks (varies by discipline). These are targets — authors will receive an estimated timeline at submission.
- Appeals: Authors may appeal decisions via the editorial office; appeals must present new evidence or identify procedural errors. See Peer Review & Editorial Policy for full appeals process.
- Authorship, contributorship & conflicts
- Authorship criteria: Substantial contribution to conception/design, data acquisition/analysis, drafting/revising manuscript, and final approval. Individuals who meet these criteria must be listed as authors. Others may be acknowledged.
- CRediT taxonomy: Provide each author’s contribution using CRediT roles in the manuscript.
- Corresponding author duties: Liaison with the editorial office, ensures all co-authors approve the submission, handles queries post-publication. Corresponding author must supply an ORCID.
- Conflict of interest: Declare any financial or non-financial interests that could influence the work. If none, state “No competing interests declared.”
- Funding & acknowledgments
- Provide full names of funding bodies and grant numbers. If no external funding, state “This research received no specific grant from any funding agency.”
- Acknowledgments should list individuals or institutions that assisted but do not meet authorship criteria.
- Data, code, and supplementary materials
- Data availability statement: Required for all submissions. Preferred outcome: public deposition in a named repository with persistent identifier (DOI/Accession number). If data cannot be shared, explain why and provide conditions for access.
- Code availability: Provide repository links (e.g., GitHub with DOI via Zenodo) where feasible.
- Supplementary files: Upload as separate files labelled Supplementary_Figure1.pdf, Supplementary_Table1.xlsx, etc. Large datasets should go to an external repository and a DOI supplied.
- Figures, tables & artwork
- Figures must be cited in text in order. Supply high-resolution originals.
- Provide editable tables (not images).
- If you use copyrighted figures or previously published material, submit written permission from the rights holder.
- Colour figures are welcome and published online at no extra charge.
- References & citation style
- Use APA 7th edition (author–date). Examples and templates are linked on each journal’s submission page. Ensure every in-text citation appears in the reference list and vice versa.
- Include DOI or persistent links for references where possible.
- Language, editing & proofs
- Manuscripts should be clearly written in English. Authors are responsible for professional language editing prior to submission if required.
- After acceptance, authors will receive page proofs for final corrections. Major changes at proof stage are discouraged and may delay publication.
- Post-publication corrections, retractions & expressions of concern
- Errors discovered post-publication will be handled per the Ethics & Integrity Policy (corrigendum, erratum, retraction). Authors must cooperate with investigations and provide data/evidence when requested.
- APCs, waivers & payment
- The APC of USD 200 is charged upon acceptance and before final publication. Waiver requests are considered under the APCs & Waiver Policy; authors must request waivers before acceptance if they anticipate inability to pay. Payment details and invoices are provided by the editorial office.
- DOI assignment & archiving
Final published articles receive a DOI minted via Zenodo and are deposited in Internet Archive and SSRN for preservation. Metadata and machine-readable files are retained to support indexing claims.
